Field Service Engineer - Cryogenic
Our Client:
Our client, a leading company in the field of cryogenic engineering, is seeking a dedicated Field Service Engineer to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, providing technical expertise and support to customers in the installation, maintenance, and repair of cryogenic equipment. As a Field Service Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, quality, and performance of our client's products while maintaining strong relationships with customers and internal teams.
The Responsibilities:
* Analyzing customer issues, collecting technical data, and reporting product and contractual concerns for each assignment.
* Directing and supervising the workforce involved in equipment installation, commissioning, start-up, repair, or maintenance.
* Advising customers on operating procedures, maintenance schedules, and parts stocking to minimize equipment downtime.
* Participating in performance testing and evaluation of equipment.
* Coordinating with internal departments and external stakeholders, acting as the primary company representative on-site.
* Overseeing project planning, resource allocation, and safety procedures for minor projects.
* Investigating product issues, implementing corrective actions, and providing technical guidance to field service personnel.
* Conducting training sessions for both customers and internal staff.
* Promoting product improvements and enhancing customer satisfaction through effective communication and cooperation.
* Assisting in resolving liability claims and verifying customer claims.
The Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
* Previous experience in field service engineering, preferably in the cryogenic or related industry.
* Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capability to interact effectively with customers and internal teams.
* Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
* Willingness to travel extensively, with travel requirements expected to be around 85%.
* Knowledge of safety procedures and quality management systems.
* Experience in project management and coordination is desirable.
* Flexibility to adapt to new and unfamiliar situations as they arise.
* Commitment to upholding company standards and delivering high-quality service to customers.
